Diversity Week started out as a once a semester week long celebration of our identities. Over the years we created Inclusion Week to be in the Fall and Diversity Week in the Spring. Diversity week focuses on our various Nationalities, Countries of Origin, Race and Ethnicities. We want to highlight the importance of our diverse students through food, song, dance and art.
Have fun night at Open Mic Night. This is open to all students to share their talents. You can sing, dance, play a musical instrument, poetry, magic, comedy, or whatever comes to mind.
Begin your week with a talked about how you should be valued at any workplace. Our speaker will be Hazel Sainsbury, our Director of Equity Compliance / Title IX Coordinator
Netflix star Jan Broberg will share her harrowing experience. Abducted in Plain Sight is the twisting, turning, stranger-than-fiction true story of the Brobergs, a naive, church-going Idaho family that fell under the spell of a sociopathic neighbor with designs on their twelve-year-old daughter. This will be a 45 min speaking engagement with a 15 min Q&A after.
