LGBTQ+ Awareness Month

Background:

LGBTQ+ awareness month is celebrated in October of every year since 1994 in the US, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Greenland, and the city of Berlin to promote awareness and celebration of the spectrum of LGBTQ2SIA+ identities.

The month of October was chosen because it coincides with the first marches on Washington and national coming out day.

LGBTQ+ Awareness Month 2021:

Join the LGBTQ+ resource center and student association for events throughout the month that celebrate the joy and history of the LGBTQ2SIA+ community.
